  45. of the State Department during a crisis. For example, for concerned
  46. relatives and friends in the U.S., the Department attempts to obtain
  47. information from local authorities abroad about Americans located
  48. in the disaster area.

  50. The Citizens Emergency Center gives information about the assistance
  51. the Center provides to American citizens in four major categories:
  52. deaths, arrests, welfare/whereabouts inquiries, and financial/medical
